Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Exciting opportunity for licensed pharmacists to expand their professional experience with flexible per diem shifts across Northern California. As the holiday season approaches, an urgent need exists for dedicated pharmacists to support busy retail pharmacy locations in and around the greater Sacramento area, Bay Area/North Bay, and Northern California regions including Redding and Chico.
This role offers the opportunity to work 1-2 shifts per week on average, providing valuable coverage where it’s needed most. You will be part of a dynamic team supporting pharmacy operations with responsibilities including managing pharmacy workflows, supervising technicians, and ensuring excellent patient care, especially during the high-demand holiday season.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmaceutical care in retail settings with attention to accuracy and customer service
- Manage opening and closing procedures in the pharmacy
- Oversee and support pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient pharmacy operations
- Administer immunizations as a certified immunizing pharmacist
- Utilize McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) software for prescription processing and documentation
Desired Qualifications:
- Active pharmacist license and immunization certification
- Minimum one year of retail pharmacy experience, including experience with pharmacy opening/closing and team management
- Comfortable commuting within and around Sacramento, Bay Area, and Northern California locations
- Part-time pharmacists seeking additional shifts are ideal candidates
- Ability and willingness to travel as shifts may be requested across multiple locations

- Mileage reimbursement provided for travel exceeding 30 miles one way
