Job Summary: Seeking a skilled Electrical Apprentice with 1 - 3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be required to travel to various out-of-town job sites and work under the supervision of a journeyman electrician. This role is crucial in supporting our operations and ensuring the highest standards of electrical safety and workmanship.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Follow the National Electrical Code and comply with state and local building regulations.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment to perform electrical tasks.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and quality completion of projects.
- Attend additional training to enhance skills and support career advancement.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to travel and work nights as needed
- Willingness to work around active aerial tower activity
- Willingness to help tower crews as needed ie: pull ropes, gather material, install coax connectors and any other duties asked by the foreman
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read blueprints, some job sites will be technical telecom facilities.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent training preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Must be capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 60lbs of weight
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and squat. Have full range of motion.
- Must be capable of working at heights above 20 feet in lifts or bucket trucks
