Social Worker Assistant (Bilingual Korean/English Required)

About Us:
Montrose Adult Day Health Care Center is a licensed Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) center dedicated to providing culturally competent, compassionate, and comprehensive care to our diverse aging population. We are currently seeking a dedicated Social Worker Assistant who is fluent in both Korean and English to support our growing Korean-speaking participant population.

Position Summary:
The Social Worker Assistant will support the Social Worker in delivering social services to program participants, particularly those from the Korean-speaking community. The ideal candidate will help facilitate communication, support care planning, conduct assessments, and assist with case management and community resource linkage in both Korean and English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Social Worker in conducting participant intakes, psychosocial assessments, and care plan development.

  • Provide translation and interpretation services between staff and Korean-speaking participants/families.

  • Support participants in accessing resources, benefits, and services in the community.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in participant records per Title 22 and ADHC standards.

  • Help coordinate group activities and provide individual support under supervision.

  • Serve as a liaison between the center, families, and community agencies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant coursework in social services preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with elderly or disabled populations.

  • Fluency in Korean and English (verbal and written) is required.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with ADHC or similar community-based care programs is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a multicultural setting.

  • Knowledge of Korean culture and traditions as they relate to aging and caregiving.
